I always worry when he's like this. I've seen him at his worst, I know, but I don't want him to hurt like this. He takes everything on himself.

Even knowing everything, I still don't understand why such bad things follow a good person like him.

[ There's a pause and rustling of the pages as she picks up her book. ]

A lot of people are being taken lately. I hope they're all okay.

I just realized... my one year mark will be here in about two months. Has it really been that long? It doesn't feel like it at all. It seems like, just yesterday, I was traveling around with Milly and that idiot. Who knew I'd miss that stupid planet? It's so beautiful here, it always is to me, but somehow, that place will always be home in my head.

Luffy, would you like to come over for dinner sometime soon? It's been a while since I've cooked for you, hasn't it?

I guess some new faces are showing up...

After what happened, I was kind of hoping they'd be too busy to bother with it, this time. At least they waited until that mess was over, but... still, this seems like a bad time to add more stress on the current residents.

I think I've seen all but one of the 'seasons' I read about. It's a bit nerve wracking to realize.

Is the weather in summer always like this?

I'm so used to one, consistent state of weather that it all seems a bit strange to me.

Milly's missing. Her things are still in her room, so I guess that means they took her.

They're really giving me a run for my money, lately. The arrivals this week and the meteors, it's been eventful, alright.

Just... what did I come back to...

[Meryl's on the outskirts of town, dumbfounded, trying to get her brain to work again. She's been in the desert. Her allergies have been killer and she needed a break from the pollen, so she ventured to the desert for some time alone. She's come back and has been reading along her way. This is one of her worst nightmares.]

Everything's so.. green outside. I've never seen anything like this. I've seen geoplants, but they're never this impressive. Something about the natural growth is just pretty breathtaking.

Our numbers are growing again. The beginning of the month. I'm still hoping not to see any of them. Of course, I have to wonder... if Mr. Wolfwood were to show up... just how would I stomach that? I wonder if I should have a plan set, just in case.
